Spirituality

People often ask me, How can you be Spiritual and not Religious? I was born into a strict German Catholic Family, I even went to a seminary , but because of personal reasons I had to come up with a new concept of a higher power for AA to work for me. Some day I might get back to church, but for now the one true church is in my heart and soul. My canned answer is " A religious persons prays so he doesn't go to hell, A spiritual person has already been to hell and prays he never goes back."
